ahh yes. today is Valentine’s day. from the moment we started dating, we’ve had an understanding that we would ‘celebrate’ Valentine’s Day, but would not go out of our way to plan or do something ON Valentine’s Day. especially with two kids. but fortunately, the good st. valentine blessed us to have a couple of hours without the kids. so we were Able to have a meal and grab some matcha for dessert. and to top it off…ended the evening doing groceries at Costco! took a couple of shots, but it was gloomy outside. either way, if you’re ever in the east bay, check out jungdon katsu in Emeryville and Yumi mora in Berkeley.
enjoy the long weekend and remember, it’s better to put in the effort to love and appreciate your significant other year round.

it’s crazy how ‘hard’ it could be to transition out from the holidays and into the new year. I know for me and the family, it has been crazy. looking back at last month, I found plenty of times where I just felt mentally drained. maybe it’s due to the hectic start of the year and a shift in our daily schedules? or that neither my wife and I have time to really decompress from the work day until after the kids are in bed. But damn, I’m tired. the 365 project has given me moments to just enjoy the hobby and my interest in photography has increased a lot. so much so, I’m back to daydreaming about lenses and a 35mm film cameras. But, I have too many hobbies and I need to sell a lot of things to free up some space lol.
Speaking of 35mm film cameras, I have already gone down a hole on how to develop film and to scan negatives from home. idk if I the space or storage to do all that.
either way, life continues and I’m hoping February brings new experiences and happiness In my daily life.
onward.
